Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is looking to make some wholesale changes to his squad this summer to rebuild in the 2021/22 season.
The Reds salvaged Champions League football with a third-place Premier League finish to their campaign, having battle with injuries.
And they have already started, with the arrival of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig for £36m to bolster their defence.
It goes the other way, though, as Georginio Wijnaldum looks set to an exit to PSG to leave a big space in the middle of Klopp’s midfield.
But there are more wheels in motion to strengthen the squad – and Daily Star Sport have summarised the latest headlines…
Reds dealt Mbappe blow
Liverpool made PSG’s star forward Kylian Mbappe a long-term target after winning the Premier League in the 2019/20 campaign.
They have been playing the waiting game, though, as the Frenchman’s €160.00m [£137.5m] valuation will see them wait until next summer when he has a year on his contract and is available for free.
But PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has ruled out the possibility of the 22-year-old leaving for free, telling L'Equipe: “I will be very clear – Kylian Mbappé is going to stay at PSG.
"We will never sell him, and he will never leave for free."

Liverpool join race for Vlahovic
The Reds’s hunt for a top scorer could also see them turn to a rising star of Serie A in Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic.
Scoring 21 goals in 40 games, the 21-year-old has spoken out saying the “sees himself” with the Italian side – but it has not put the Premier League giants off.
But Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Liverpool could be in his mind as his agents ‘held talks’ with the club last month.
They are set to face competition, though, from AC Milan if they fail in their pursuit of Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud.
Inter Milan star in sights
Among the San Siro side’s stars that won them a first Serie A title in 11 years is midfielder Nicolo Barella, who played a similar role to Wijnaldum in the midfield.
Providing 13 assists in 46 games last season, the 24-year-old – part of his country’s Euro 2020 squad – has piqued the interest of Liverpool, according to Anfield Central .
While they are ‘monitoring’ the Italian, they face competition from Arsenal.
And despite Inter’s need to sell off players to support finances, they will force a high fee, believed to be beyond £50m, out of any interested clubs for the player under contract until 2024.
