Liverpool's Christmas advert has been hailed by football fans across the country – with Ricky Tomlinson's outtakes even funnier.
The beloved actor and legend of the North West reunited with TV wife Sue Johnston from their The Royle Family success with Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson Becker among the stars to cameo – as well as Darwin Nunez.
In the official release the Uruguayan striker nabs a mince pie from the plate of Ricky without him noticing – but the 84-year-old had a plan up his sleeve for a first-take.

Grabbing the arm of the 24-year-old, who burst into laughter, Ricky stopped him in his tracks and said: "EH! You robbing b*****d!"
The crew even cracked up as the unlikely duo laughed and smiled together having entered the Christmas spirit for the festive advert for club merchandise.
One fan replied: "Jim Royle x Nunez what a pairing." A second chuckled: "Jim Royle and Darwin was not on my Xmas bingo card."

Alisson sorted the dinner thanks to his safe pair of hands with Alexander-Arnold and Cody Gakpo helping with present rapping before John Aldridge appeared for an impromptu rap. Rachael Laws and Gemma Bonner also took a break from the WSL season to play their part in the video.
Curtis Jones was also involved in delivering presents alongside Wataru Endo, with Ricky ending the video by making Van Dijk laugh – having asked him to stick the kettle on.

Liverpool said of their festive ad: "Set to a classic seasonal tale, Ricky and Sue play nan and grandad to one excited young Red.
"Reading the bedtime story on Christmas Eve it has an LFC twist and Ricky and Sue narrate the words as the youngster drifts off into a surreal dream."
Liverpool fans will be hoping for an enjoyable Christmas period when it comes to fixtures, playing Arsenal at Anfield on December 23 and Burnley away on Boxing Day,
