While Jurgen Klopp tries to wrestle with that there will no doubt be attempts to engineer further deals behind the scenes. Express Sport rounds up some of the latest transfer rumours concerning the Reds.
Liverpool playing patient game with Thiago
Liverpool will wait until the last week of the transfer window before officially bidding for Thiago Alcantara, according to talkSPORT.
Thiago joined Bayern Munich from Barcelona in 2013, but he has informed the club he is eager to seek a new challenge with less than a year remaining on his contract.
Liverpool have been strongly linked to the midfielder, but they are yet to reach an agreement over a transfer fee.
Now, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook has stated the current Premier League champions are playing a patient game with Bayern.

“We’ve spoken a lot about this one, and it’s going to go right to the wire, I think,” said Crook.
“If [Gini] Wijnaldum goes I think Liverpool will accelerate their interest. I know Manchester United have spoken to Thiago’s agent but midfield is not a priority for them at the moment.
“Liverpool are still the front runners, but they’re trying to force Bayern Munich to lower that €30m asking price. I’m not expecting a bid to come in probably until the final week of the window.”

Turkish giants keen on Divock Origi
Fenerbahce are interested in signing Liverpool striker Divock Origi, and they have opened talks with Liverpool according to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur.
Origi moved to Anfield from Lille in 2014 and has gone on to be a cult hero at the club, with several vital goals en route to the club winning the Champions League in 2019.
The Belgian international has been keen to earn a more prominent role at the club but has mostly been used as a substitute under Jurgen Klopp.
Fenerbahce would offer him that chance of more first-team minutes, and Konur states that the club’s sporting director Emre Belozogulu has held talks with Liverpool about loaning Origi.
The Reds are not against the idea, but only if the deal includes an obligation to buy the striker for £13million (€15m).
It’s unclear if that offer tempts the Turkish giants, but Konur added that Fener are facing competition from Newcastle United, Fulham and Brighton.
The Turkish side are in the market for a striker after agreeing to sell Vedat Muriqi to Lazio for a reported fee of £18million (€20m).
