As for Everton, things are starting to look up for them. After a very slow start to their season, they’ve now managed to win three of their last four outings in all competitions (L1). Their first win of the campaign came away at Brentford, but they got their first victory at Goodison Park last time out as they brushed aside Bournemouth 3-0 just before the international break.
Liverpool vs Everton
Liverpool have the chance to go top of the Premier League table with a victory here today, and Jurgen Klopp will be looking to get his team back to winning ways. Their seven-match winning run in all competitions came to an end with a controversial 2-1 loss to Tottenham, and the Reds were most recently held to a 2-2 by Brighton. However, history is on their side in this fixture as they’ve lost just one of their last 25 league meetings with Everton (W11 D13), though that was a 2-0 home defeat in February 2021.
