Reports in Germany from Bild suggest the Reds are serious about their interest in Timo Werner, with a move for the RB Leizpig striker potentially opening the door for Roberto Firmino to head to Bayern Munich.
Bayern, also targeting Werner, have been linked with a £75million swoop for Firmino, which could see the Reds front three finally broken up amid long-running concerns they would struggle to keep the trio together.
But Werner could well provide a tailor-made and younger replacement which may tempt Klopp to cash-in.
The Reds have also been linked with a move to bring back Philippe Coutinho, two years after selling him to Barcelona for a huge £142million fee.
Coutinho could be on the lookout for another move after failing to impress on loan at Bayern Munich this season, with Barcelona ready to slash his price tag and Klopp reportedly open to a reunion.
Whilst a move back to Anfield still seems unlikely, the Brazilian may be short of options after his miserable two years.
He could add an extra dimension to a Reds side which has come on leaps and bounds since he left the club and provide a further element of creativity in support of a revamped front-three if Firmino is replaced by Werner.
