Jadon Sancho to train away from Man Utd squad until ‘discipline issue’ resolved
Manchester United could have their own version of Erling Haaland if Erik ten Hag strikes a connection with three of his forwards, according to Gabby Agbonlahor. Rasmus Hojlund is set for his highly-anticipated maiden start against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, and early signs have been promising.
The 20-year-old striker made his United debut as a second-half substitute at Arsenal before the international break.
And after featuring twice for Denmark, he may be ready to replace Anthony Martial in Ten Hag’s starting lineup at Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford is bound to keep his place on the left, but a space has opened up on the right amid Antony and Jadon Sancho’s absences.
Agbonlahor believes Hojlund could have the same impact as Haaland at Manchester City if Ten Hag starts Alejandro Garnacho and Rashford on either side of the 6ft 5in Dane.
“Manchester United have got the players, and I really like the look of Hojlund,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.
“I feel like if they get Rashford and Garnacho on either side, get him past players and balls into the box, he could be their version of Haaland.”

Haaland scored a staggering 52 goals in 53 appearances across his inaugural campaign at City, helping Pep Guardiola’s side match United’s 1999 treble.
Hojlund – three years younger – has drawn similarities to the prolific Norwegian due to his towering frame and deceptive speed.
Agbonlahor doesn’t expect the new United No 11 to inspire the club to challenge City for the Premier League title this season.
But the former Premier League striker believes Hojlund will fire United into the top-four conversation again after a mixed start to the season.
Agbonlahor said: “You know why I wouldn’t rule them out yet? Because I really like the look of Hojlund, the striker.

“Even against Arsenal, when he came on, he caused them problems. He’s quick, strong, aggressive.
“And I think this could be the game against Brighton, who are quite open at the back, that Hojlund could get a couple of goals.”
United have lost two of their opening four Premier League games at Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal last time out.
But the Red Devils have picked up three points in both outings on home turf against Wolves and Nottingham Forest.
Brighton will likely pose a greater challenge than both those teams, but Hojlund is sure to be chomping at the bit to make a quick start in M16.
