Man Utd fans left raging at Ten Hag sub seconds before Copenhagen began comeback

Manchester United fans were left raging at Erik ten Hag after he substituted off Rasmus Hojlund minutes before Copenhagen scored in their 4-3 win.

The Premier League giants fell to the Danish champions on Wednesday (November 8) in the Champions League despite leading 2-0 in the first half thanks to Hojlund's brace. It began going downhill for United after Marcus Rashford was sent off for a studs-up challenge.

Copenhagen managed to score two goals at the end of the first half to get themselves back into the game. A Bruno Fernandes penalty in the 70th penalty but United back in front as they looked to secure all three points but the home side had other thoughts as two goals in four minutes put Copenhagen 4-3 up as they claimed yet another famous victory over the Red Devils.

It's a crushing blow to United's hopes to qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League as they currently sit bottom of Group A and should they lose against Galatasaray in their next group game, they'll be knocked out of the competition.

Fans on social media are incensed with the result and are aiming their fury at Erik ten Hag for taking off Hojlund for Mason Mount despite the striker being their most influential player on the pitch as well as being their best chance to score a goal. One fan brandished the Dutchman as the: "[He's] the worst Manchester United manager in recent times.. He is not good enough & at this rate we are gonna ruin Højlund".

A second fan commented: "And this manager is a joke. Takes of Hojlund and brings on mount. we need to won’t this game am he takes of our main threat" while a third was confused as to why the 20-year-old was taken off in the first place as their X post read: "No idea why we took Hojlund off btw, putting on Mount as well. Might as well give Forson a goal".

It's a ninth defeat in all competitions for Man United this season who've won one of their four Champions League games in what has been a horror return to Europe's premier competition that may soon be over.
