Man Utd players' feelings towards Jadon Sancho after latest Erik ten Hag spat
Manchester United are not interested in signing Anwar El Ghazi on a free transfer this week despite claims Erik ten Hag was weighing up a shock swoop, according to reports. The Red Devils have other plans to address their current right-wing crisis amid uncertainty over £159million duo Antony and Jadon Sancho.
On Monday, the Mail reported that United were considering a surprise move for El Ghazi before Wednesday’s Premier League squad submission deadline.
PSV Eindhoven terminated the 28-year-old winger’s contract by mutual consent last week, and he is now on the hunt for a new club amid interest from Saudi Arabia.
United’s alleged position in the frame stunned many supporters, given El Ghazi flopped at Aston Villa and Everton before leaving the Premier League last summer.
But The Athletic have set the record straight about United’s true intentions after Ten Hag assessed his options to solve the club’s right-wing dilemma.
The Old Trafford giants are reportedly not in the running to sign El Ghazi, who was simply offered to the club by his audacious agents.
United will instead find an internal solution ahead of club football’s return when they host Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Ten Hag is without Antony for the foreseeable future after mutually agreeing a leave of absence so he can address allegations of abuse from three former girlfriends in Brazilian media.
The 23-year-old has strongly denied any wrongdoing, publicly moving to prove his innocence on social media and in a TV interview while he supports the investigation.
Sancho’s spat with Ten Hag has fallen at the worst possible time, with the No 25’s future hanging in the balance after effectively calling his manager a liar after his exclusion against Arsenal.
Ten Hag left Sancho at home for United’s 3-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium, later stating that it was due to poor training performances.

But the Englishman hit back, questioning the United boss’ true reasoning and claiming he had been made a ‘scapegoat’.
It leaves Sancho as a doubtful replacement for Antony when Brighton visit Old Trafford this weekend, potentially opening the door for Facundo Pellistri.
The Athletic report that United kept Pellistri this summer with the view of handing him minutes across the season. Now is as good a time as there ever will be.
Alejandro Garnacho has also been earmarked as capable of filling in, while Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount could also move out wide.
