Alex Telles revealed he spoke with current Manchester United players before making his transfer deadline day move to Old Trafford. Telles has signed a four-year deal after joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side from Porto in a £15.4million move.
The left-back is one of four expected arrivals at the Premier League club on deadline day, with United also set to sign Edinson Cavani, Facundo Pellistri and Amad Traore.
Telles will will hope to start the Red Devils’ next game against Newcastle after the international break, having been brought in to provide competition for Luke Shaw, who has struggled with injuries in recent years.
And the 27-year-old said he had spoken to both Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot before sealing his move to Old Trafford.
Dalot, who has joined AC Milan on loan, played with Telles at Porto before being signed by former United boss Jose Mourinho in 2018.

“I’ve spoken to Bruno Fernandes and he’s said how welcoming the boys are. I believe I will settle very well into the group.”
On speaking with Dalot, Telles added: “I spoke to Diogo and he sent me a message to wish me good luck.

Asked whether he believes he can thrive at both ends of the pitch for United, Telles said: “Absolutely. I have great beliefs in my defensive capabilities but also in my attacking ability.
