Man Utd got their season back on track with Burnley victory | Football Digest
Residents living close to Manchester United’s training ground have already complained to the Red Devils about their players driving recklessly in the area. Striker Marcus Rashford was involved in a collision outside the Carrington training ground after the club’s 1-0 win over Burnley on Saturday night.
Rashford’s £700,000 Rolls Royce collided with the vehicle of a 74-year-old grandma. The forward had been part of the United squad that travelled back to their training complex by coach before they made their individual journeys home by car.
The woman involved declined to comment when approached outside her home in Cheshire. A family member insisted she was “okay”.
Off the back of Rashford’s accident, it has been alleged by local residents that many of United’s younger players have been driving recklessly in the area. A report has apparently been made to the Premier League club, with residents told that their complaints would be ‘passed on’.

Engineer Peter Laycock alleges that his fiancee Amy was nearly hit by a player near the club’s training ground. “We see them on this road every day,” he told the Sun.
“Amy contacted the club because she wasn’t happy with how some of the younger players were driving. One nearly hit her. She made a call and was told it would be passed on.”
Greater Manchester Police confirmed there had been a “non-serious road traffic accident”. Rashford’s car was wrecked by the collision, with it also hitting a camera post.
It came after United recorded a 1-0 win over Burnley in the Premier League. It was just the second triumph in the club’s last six matches, with Bruno Fernandes scoring the only goal of the game just before half-time.

Head coach Erik ten Hag insisted afterwards that several factors have been working ‘against’ his side. A spate of injuries and several off-field crises have affected the club’s form this season.
“We have problems and in this moment a lot is against us: injuries, decisions and we have all seen the examples,” the Dutchman told TNT Sports.
This was a must-win and we knew that. The team responded on the pitch. You could see the togetherness in the dressing room. It was a squad performance.”
