Arsenal fans have slammed their Brazilian star Gabriel Martinelli who went from hero to zero after he was accused of effectively 'bottling it' for Luton's equaliser.
Martinelli had swept Arsenal ahead in the first half, with many expecting the Gunners to go on and win the clash at a canter. However, Luton had other ideas at Kenilworth Road, as Gabriel Osho headed home brilliantly from a corner just minutes later.
Eagle-eyed Arsenal fans noticed that Martinelli had let Osho go when the ball was whipped into the area, and even cowered away rather than challenging in the air. And Gunners fans were quick to slam the winger on social media.

"Terrible defending. Martinelli left him alone and he had a free header," one fan fumed. While a second replied: "Martinelli has to do better there, thrown away our lead so quickly in what's going to be a very competitive hard fought game!"
"Martinelli has got to be more physical tho man, a free header like that is unacceptable," a third said. A fourth put: "Bottling the lead minutes after scoring." And another added: "I love Martinelli but he didn’t even think about defending that…"

Fortunately for Martinelli, the Gunners regained their lead just before half time as Gabriel Jesus got his head on the end of a delicious dinked cross from returning full-back Ben White.
Arsenal were looking to extend their gap at the top of the Premier League table on Tuesday evening. The Gunners were two points clear of Liverpool ahead of kick-off, and that gap could have been extended to five points with the Reds not playing until Wednesday.
The Gunners are looking to win their first Premier League title in two decades after falling short last time out. Martinelli will be key to their title charge, with the Brazilian at the heart of Mikel Arteta's attack.
