Mason Greenwood told his new fans he’s “feeling good” during his unveiling as a Getafe player on Tuesday.
Greenwood, 21, was officially presented to fans at the club’s Coliseum Alfonso Perez following his Deadline Day loan move from Manchester United.
The England striker has been handed a chance to resurrect his football career after not playing or training for United in over 18 months since he was suspended by the Red Devils in January 2022.
Getafe have been very enthusiastic regarding Greenwood’s arrival on social media, with the official account on TikTok even replying to comments from some United fans sending well-wishes.

This approach has seen the club slammed and labelled “tone deaf” as Greenwood posed for pictures and signed autographs for his new fans who have immediately accepted him.
Getafe fans attended Greenwood’s unveiling, alongside fellow new arrivals Diego Rico and Oscar Rodriguez, with some already donning Greenwood No.12 shirts at the open training session.
Greenwood walked out of the tunnel as he was introduced to a rapturous reception from Getafe fans who chanted his name.
The forward told his new crowd that he’s “feeling good” and “happy to be here” for the upcoming season.
He added: "We take one game at a time, I know the next home game is coming up soon, we are going to try and win it and do our best."
Greenwood’s girlfriend and mother of his child was also in attendance in Spain at his welcoming. She posted a picture of herself in the crowd and a baby Getafe shirt with ‘Daddy 12’ printed on the back to her Instagram page which has 726,000 followers and just one picture – which is of her and Greenwood holding the hand of their baby in July.
United received no loan fee for the striker and will cover the majority of his £75,000 a week deal whilst in Spain on his season-long loan, which does have a break clause in January should all parties wish.
