Football fans have hailed Mesut Ozil after his cheeky response to Leonardo DiCaprio – where he made a cheeky dig at the film megastar's dating history.
DiCaprio, 49, has starred in a number of Hollywood blockbusters, but in recent years fans have developed a theory that the A-lister breaks up with girlfriends once they reach 25. It has gained steam on social media with the heart-throb – known for dating some of the world's most beautiful women – happening to break up with three of his partners after their 25th birthdays.
According to a page on X, when DiCaprio was asked a question about football, he responded: "What’s Arsenal?” And Gunners icon Ozil hit back: "Arsenal Football Club is older than 25 years… so why should he know?"

The Arsenal legend had already drawn the fury of Tottenham fans on social media earlier this month, when he had a joke for them. Spurs had just become the first team in Premier League history to fail to win five consecutive games at home despite going 1-0 up in each match.
And Ozil took to social media to say: "Who else should be able to break that record? Bottle Job FC is back."
The German passmaster made 254 appearances for Arsenal between 2013 and 2021, scoring 44 goals, and lifting the FA Cup four times. He left the Gunners back 2021 to move to Turkey – where he has had spells with Fenerbahce and Istanbul Basaksehir.
