Mesut Ozil will speak to Arsenal fans on Twitter about his future in a Twitter Q&A on Monday night.

The German midfielder is reportedly set to leave the club, bringing an end to his £350,000-a-week deal with the Gunners.

It was reported that a three-year deal with agreed with Turkish side Fenerbahce – but the 32-year-old is now set to speak out on the situation.

Writing on Twitter, he said: "Let's talk about the past, present and future. I will start answering your #AskMesut questions tomorrow evening."

Ozil has not played for Mikel Arteta since the beginning of March, having been exiled from the Premier League and Europa League squads.

And agent Dr Erkut Sogut did admit that the midfielder was starting to look at options ahead of the January transfer window opening.

This has led to speculation of the move from Fenerbahce while MLS side DC United have "offered" a huge package to the German.

Ozil has also been in discussions with Arsenal over his contract, which still have 25 weeks to run at £350,000 per week.

If the midfielder does leave in January, it means the north London side will have to pay the outstanding £8.75million owed to the No.10.

But the German has reportedly offered a financial plan to the club that would spread his payments out until 2023.

This would cut his weekly wage down to £68,000 – and cut down the north London side's packet by £1.2million.

Ozil has been with Arsenal since 2013, arriving from Real Madrid for a £42.5million fee under Arsene Wenger.

Winning the FA Cup three times in his eight seasons, the midfielder has recorded 44 goals and 77 assists for the club.

And the latest goal-securing pass was secured in his most recent Gunners appearance, finding Alexandre Lacazette for a 1-0 win over West Ham last March.

But he has been forced to watch from the sidelines as Arsenal languish in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Ozil's Twitter announcement comes after Arteta confirmed that the midfielder's future would be sorted "within days".
