Storm Babet has hit the UK and is already causing havoc with the weekend's matches up and down the country.
Several top-flight games in Scotland have fallen foul of the bad weather, including St Johnstone's home match against Motherwell and Aberdeen vs Dundee. Arbroath's home match against Raith Rovers in the Scottish Championship and and Cove Rangers vs Montrose in Scottish League One. have also been postponed.
There are fears that further games could be postponed due to the weather, both in England and Scotland. Fans of Everton, Liverpool and other Premier League clubs, particularly in the north of the country, will be keeping a keen eye on the weather radar as the night progresses
Liverpool vs Everton latest
One of the biggest games of the Premier League season takes place on Saturday lunchtime when Liverpool host Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield. The match is due to be shown live on TNT Sport at 12:30pm.
Although the game is not in doubt at the moment, Liverpool City Council has decided to postpone all weekend football in the area at grassroots level.
The area covering Liverpool is currently on a yellow weather warning, with heavy rain expected to continue from overnight Friday into Saturday morning.
