Arsenal fans believe David Raya had the "luckiest escape ever" in their narrow Champions League victory over Sevilla.
Mikel Arteta's side looked to be in the driving seat when Gabriel Jesus' magical turn helped him assist Gabriel Martinelli for the opening goal, before the Brazilian whipped a wonderful strike of his own into the top corner in the second-half.
However, Nemanja Gudelj halved the deficit to ensure a nervy end to the contest for the Gunners. When the pressure was at its highest, another Raya error nearly saw them throw away a vital victory in Spain.

In the final moments of the game, the Spaniard aggressively left his line to try and claim the cross. When he realised he was not able to catch it, the Brentford loanee opted to punch the ball.
However, he only made connection with the bottom of the ball, resulting in it spinning into the air and back towards his goal. As two Sevilla players stood beneath the dropping ball to tap it in, Raya and all who love Arsenal would have been relieved to have seen it drop over the bar.

While his fans could breathe a sigh of relief, many have not let the shot-stopper off the hook. "Raya got away big time with that bad punch at the end," one fan laughed.
"How did Raya punch it backwards over his net? We are so lucky man," another baffled and relieved supporter said.
"When I saw Raya punch it backwards my heart sunk," another tweeted before a fourth said: "If that Raya punch ended up going in, my head would’ve been one."
The victory for Arsenal saw them move back to the top of Group B in the competition. And it will be interesting to see if Aaron Ramsdale soon gets his chance with Raya under increasing pressure between the sticks. Arteta has a big decision to make ahead of Saturday's Premier League visit from Ramsdale's old club Sheffield United.
