Roma ‘are in talks with Manchester United over a loan move for Alex Telles’ as the Italian club look to cover the injury absence of Leonardo Spinazzola.
Brazilian left-back Telles, 28, only signed for United last October in a deal with Porto worth £15.4million.
But thanks to the excellent form of Luke Shaw, he has found opportunities limited at Old Trafford, starting just eight Premier League games.

Reports in Italy now suggest that Telles could be loaned out to Roma, where he would play under former United manager Jose Mourinho.
Roma have asked to take Telles on loan but reports suggest United only want a permanent transfer despite a very short stay at the club.
With Roma’s regular left-back Spinazzola, a star of Euro 2020, out for between seven and nine months with a torn achilles tendon, they require only a loan move for Telles as cover.

Telles does have previous experience of Serie A, having spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Inter Milan from Galatasaray, prior to moving to Porto.
In total, Telles appeared in 24 matches for United during the 2020-21 campaign, spending most of his time warming the bench.
This total included four Champions League group games before England left-back Shaw found his form and held down the spot.
