Roman Abramovich allowing Thomas Tuchel to splash cash at Chelsea this summer

Roman Abramovich is reportedly prepared to hand Thomas Tuchel a £150million transfer warchest at Chelsea this summer.

Tuchel has transformed the Blues' fortunes since replacing Frank Lampard at the end of January, guiding them to the Champions League and FA Cup finals while also keeping pace in the race for top four.

The German will first bid to win the FA Cup against Leicester at Wembley on Saturday, before taking on Manchester City in the all-important European showpiece on May 29.

He is also aiming to secure Champions League qualification in the Premier League, with the top-four race set to go down to the wire.

Regardless, The Sun are reporting that Tuchel will receive a hefty financial backing from Abramovich regardless of their success on all three fronts.

The Chelsea owner has seen enough to be impressed by in his first four months at the helm and is ready to provide a £150million transfer budget in the summer transfer window.

Tuchel is likely to set his sights on a new centre-forward, having left Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud out in the cold since arriving at Stamford Bridge.

Abraham, who remains Chelsea's joint-top goalscorer this season despite being frozen out of the team in recent months, is now being linked with a move away from the club this summer.

Like a host of other European clubs, Chelsea are understood to be eyeing up a potential move for Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland, while ex-player and Inter Milan frontman Romelu Lukaku is another possible target.

Haaland has bagged a staggering 39 goals in as many games for Dortmund this term, including two in their DFB-Pokal final win over RB Leipzig on Thursday night, and is therefore attracting interest from various sides ahead of the summer window.

Lukaku has also enjoyed a successful season, with his tally off 22 goals in 34 Serie A appearances helping Inter clinch their first Scudetto in 11 years.
