Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp stayed on the stream after his interview on Sky Sports before their Premier League opener against Leeds on Saturday, with presenter Rob Wotton unaware.
The presenter then accused the Champions League and Premier League winning manager of sidestepping a question about the possible exit of Georginio Wijnaldum and signing of Thiago Alcantara.
Klopp’s face went from happy to bemused during the short passage of the broadcast, which got a big reaction on social media before Liverpool’s potential title defence begins later today.
Wotton said: "Fascinating mindset there from Jurgen Klopp going in to the attacking of the new title.
Before adding: ”Still processing what he had to say about Wijnaldum, Alcantara… he sidestepped that one wonderfully and I'm pleased to know what mug he's drinking his tea out of as well."
One fan said: “Complete disrespect for the best manager in the world.”
A second added: “He was not happy at that.”
With a third adding: “When he says he sidestepped the Thiago question I nearly died at Klopp’s face.”
Klopp had said Thiago: "If I could invent a word now that would end speculation, I could become really rich.
"I can't end speculation as long as the transfer window is open, that's all I can say. Did I mention that Thiago Alcantara is a really good player? Long ago!
"It's nice that we are linked with him but that's pretty much all, really. He is a good player, Liverpool are a big club, that's nice. But apart from that, really nothing else to say on it.
"Unfortunately, maybe good for you, I cannot end the speculation."

Before adding of Wijnaldum: “Absolutely fine about the future as far as we are involved with that. I cannot speak about the future in a few years but it is all fine. It’s all good for the moment.
"You know the situation. Between me, Gini and the club, everything is completely fine, apart from anything to announce to you. That’s more your problem not ours because we are completely fine in the situation.
“Since Gini is here I have 500-600 talks with him, pretty much. So that’s exactly the same like always.
“Nothing else to say about that. I speak to Gini when he came back from international duty and we have the talk as always. That’s all, really."
