Steven Gerrard mocked by fans over camper van holiday as he plugs luxury vehicle

Steven Gerrard has been mocked by football fans after claiming he went on holiday in a camper van.

The Rangers boss and Liverpool legend uploaded shots to his Instagram page thanking the firm that provided the luxury vehicle.

In one snap, he posed with a bacon butty with his four-year-old son Lio (corr), adding: "Great few days with the family."

But fans spotted all the snaps were taken outside the same house and accused him of plugging motorhomes.

One wrote: "Haha you didn't go anywhere did ye Stevie? You can see all his pictures are next to his hoose (corr)."

The ex-England captain is no stranger to flogging gear on social media – even candles.

He was once roasted by supporters over a web posting of a photo of him sitting in front of a table loaded with high-end candles and scented sticks – plus a link to the firm’s details.

One fan said: "Do you need to be doing this lad?"

Do you see Steven Gerrard ever managing a Premier League club other than Liverpool if he were to leave Rangers one day? Let us know in the comments section.

He had not responded to a request for comment on Monday.
