Thomas Partey showed Arsenal fans what they can expect from their new signing as he put on a passing masterclass for Ghana.
The Gunners paid Partey’s £45m Atletico Madrid release clause on transfer deadline day though he headed straight on international duty.
And he was at the top of his game for Ghana in their 5-1 win over Qatar in Turkey on Monday, providing two stunning assists.
His first saw him thread the ball through to Andre Ayew from the edge of the box with his second assist a wonderful pass from inside his own half.
The new Gunners man dropped deep and pinged a pass over the top to the onrushing Samuel Owusu, who finished well.
The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Willian, and Nicolas Pepe are all likely to have been licking their lips watching their new team-mate.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is looking forward to welcoming Partey to the Emirates with the Ghanaian potentially making his debut against Manchester City this weekend.
"We identified him a few months ago and we have been following his progress, and obviously the more you know about the squad, you know more about where you think you can improve it," Arteta said.
Arsene Wenger on why he snubbed multiple Real Madrid offers to stay at Arsenal
"We believe he has the right qualities, with his character and his personality and as well with his technical qualities and positional options that he can give to the team.
"I think he allows us to play different formations and he can fit in within those formations in different positions, which is a really good thing to have in a squad where, in midfield, I think we were a little bit short.

"I have a few things in mind that I want to start to train with the team and [Partey's signing] is going to give us a little bit more adaptability and more balance in defending and attacking transitions and the way we have to set up certain structures to attack better in certain moments of the game."
