Tottenham have rejected a £7.7million offer for Davinson Sanchez from Rennes.

Centre back Sanchez, who missed a penalty in Spurs’ Carabao Cup shootout defeat by Fulham on Tuesday night, may leave the club ahead of the transfer deadline.

Indeed, Spurs are looking to offload a number of their squad and Sanchez has also drawn interest from the likes of Nottingham Forest and Fulham, it is understood.

Mail Sport has recently reported that Ligue 1 side Monaco have also turned their attention to the defender after seeing a bid rejected for Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo.

Spartak Moscow made a £12.9m bid earlier in the window and Spurs accepted the offer, only for the move to break down with Sanchez reluctant to make the move.

Galatasaray are seemingly also among his potential suitors.

Sanchez made 18 appearances in all competitions last season but has slipped behind Cristian Romero and recent arrival Micky van de Ven in the pecking order.

Set for a bit-part role under new boss Ange Postecoglou, Sanchez has played two games so far this season, including in the draw at Brentford in their league opener.

He joined Spurs for just over £40m in 2017 and the club are braced to make a loss.

Torino are in talks over a possible loan for Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga, meanwhile.
