Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele wants to leave Spurs for Real Madrid before the transfer deadline, reports say. The Frenchman moved from Lyon two years ago for a massive £54million fee. However, he’s failed to shine throughout his time in north London and won’t be involved in their Premier League showdown with Wolves on Sunday.
Tottenham thought they were onto a winner when they smashed their transfer record to bring Ndombele to the club, having seen him impress over in Ligue 1.
However, the 24-year-old has been inconsistent throughout his time in the capital so far.
And, speaking in his press conference on Saturday, Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo claimed he wouldn’t be involved against Wolves amid speculation he wants out.
“I can tell you now, he isn’t going to be part of the squad,” he said.
”What happened in the past I can’t even think about, I don’t mention out of respect.

“What I can tell you is that Tanguy is with us, he works but we have to speak honestly and to take the best out of Tanguy [it] has to come from himself.
“I don’t want to go much further than that but it has to come from himself.
“We already had a chance to talk but it must come from himself. I said it before, my job here is not to convince players to play for Tottenham Hotspur, it is to prepare players to play for Tottenham Hotspur.”
And Spanish website Defensa Central claim Ndombele is keen on a move to Real Madrid.
Los Blancos were linked with the midfielder in 2019 but, in the end, ultimately missed out.

The publication states sources close to Ndombele have confirmed he’s interested in a move to the Bernabeu, believing they can give him the sporting opportunity he craves.
Real now have money in the bank following the sale of Martin Odegaard to Arsenal, and could use funds on landing a new midfielder.
While that’s the case, however, it still seems unlikely Los Blancos will come calling.
Club president Florentino Perez is saving every last penny for Kylian Mbappe, who has just a year left on his Paris Saint-Germain contract.
And what ultimately happens with Ndombele is something only time will tell.
Nuno did confirm Harry Kane has been training well ahead of the trip to Wolves, with the England international still wanted by Manchester City.
“He trained well today. He is better than yesterday. It is a growing process. Each day he goes on the pitch he improves his fitness,” he said.
“It is a decision we are going to take tomorrow.
“There is not much more than I can add that I have not already said.”
On whether’s Kane’s selection would be based purely on fitness, the Portuguese then added: “Everything, everything, not only with Harry but with all the players.
“We had issues with the match yesterday. The players are recovering.
“We have to measure all the things with all the players, and Harry is one more situation where we have to think and decide.”
Tottenham and Wolves played out a 1-1 draw in the same fixture last term.
Ndombele actually found the net in that match, opening the scoring in the very first minute.
But Spurs were prevented from claiming all three points when Romain Saiss struck in the closing stages to earn a draw.
