Premier League reveal their festive fixture calendar with Wolves vs Chelsea first Christmas Eve game in 28 years, just two football-free days in a fortnight and a 10-hour Boxing Day feast

Wolves will host Chelsea at 1pm on Sky Sports in just the second Christmas Eve fixture in Premier League history, with the festive football calendar now confirmed.
Boxing Day sees a veritable football feast, with Liverpool travelling to Burnley at 5.30pm and Manchester United welcoming Aston Villa at 8pm.
Newcastle host Nottingham Forest at 12.30pm and two other games will be shown at 3pm in a 10-hour Premier League bonanza on Amazon Prime Video.
New Year’s Eve will see Fulham welcome Arsenal and Spurs host Bournemouth at 2pm, while the solitary fixture on New Year’s Day will be Liverpool vs Newcastle at 8pm.
The Premier League’s revised fixture schedule sees a game played on every day from December 21 to January 2 besides Christmas Day and December 29.

Liverpool’s showdown against Arsenal is arguably the blockbuster game and will take place at 5.30pm on December 23, live on Sky Sports.
Manchester United negotiate a tricky yuletide spell with a trip to fellow European hopefuls West Ham on December 23, the Villa game on Boxing Day, and a visit to Nottingham Forest on December 30.
Meanwhile, Manchester City play Everton on December 27 but nobody else due to their prior participation in the Club World Cup, which finishes on December 22.
Early frontrunners Tottenham play Brighton and Bournemouth in a mixed bag of games on the 28th and 31st.
Their rivals, Arsenal, complement their Liverpool clash with assignments against West Ham and Fulham either side of the New Year.
Mauricio Pochettino has a huge chance to gain momentum as Chelsea face Wolves, Crystal Palace and Luton Town in a seven-day spell.
In a critical match near the bottom, Luton also take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Boxing Day.

The M23 derby will kick off the flurry of late December fixtures as Crystal Palace play Brighton – a fixture which has seen four consecutive 1-1 draws at Selhurst Park.
Alongside the Christmas schedule, the Premier League’s announcement has confirmed fixtures and timings from December 5 all the way to January 22, with quite a lot of changes.
Tottenham host Newcastle on December 10 in what should be a strong advert for entertaining football.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s rivalry with noise neighbours Fulham will live its latest chapter on January 13.
