Leicester’s Youri Tielemans is being watched by Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United as the Belgian midfielder’s stock grows, according to reports.

The 24-year-old has endured a positive few months on the pitch. He scored a stunning winner in the FA Cup final victory over Chelsea, helping the Foxes to another Europa League appearance whilst also taking Belgium to the Euro 2020 quarter-finals.

And according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, via AS, Tielemans is being looked at by some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Spanish duo Real and Barcelona.

Liverpool were strongly linked with a move for Tielemans over the summer and their former midfielder Jamie Redknapp urged them to make a move for Tielemans last month.

‘Who you get is incredibly difficult,’ Redknapp told Sky. ‘I always look at Liverpool as buying the best players. I would go for [Youri] Tielemans – I would do everything in my power to get him into the club.

‘He’s a Liverpool type of player. Leicester fans will probably be throwing cups of tea at the TV now, saying ‘well, why would he want to leave when he’s at a big club?’ And he is at a big club with a great manager.

‘Leicester are obviously in the ascendancy, I love what they’re doing there. They’re not a selling club anymore but that’s the sort of player who you need to get, who will come into the club and make you better, because right now, that’s where they’re short.’

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is hopeful that Tielemans will sign a new contract with the club, with the Belgian midfielder having just two years left on his current contract.

Rodgers said last month: ‘I hope we can have him for longer. Jon (Rudkin, director of football) is meeting with his representatives.

Manchester United are another team reportedly deemed to be chasing Tielemans

‘He is a top-class professional, a great guy and someone I love working with. He is very focused on his football and doesn’t get sidetracked at all.

‘As I have said before, I will give him everything to help him continuously improve and he will continue to give us everything too.

‘For me and Youri, it just continues – our relationship. Hopefully we can resolve something in the future.’

Tielemans has now surpassed 100 appearances for the Foxes since making his debut for the club as an initial loan signing from Monaco at the start of January 2019.

The Belgian made the deal permanent the following summer for a £32million transfer fee and has scored 18 goals since he first landed in England.

He had his best scoring season of his Leicester career last term, with nine goals in all competitions and has already got off the mark this term, netting a consolation in a 4-1 defeat at West Ham last month.
