Rafael Nadal is married to Xisca Perello, who is regularly seen at his matches cheering him on. They have been together for 15 years and tied the knot in a Majorca ceremony last October.
Who is Xisca Perello?
Nadal’s wife is a 32-year-old business graduate who has also worked in insurance.
Perello is now the project director of the Rafa Nadal Foundation.
Although she is often pictured at Nadal’s matches, she prefers to stay away from the spotlight.
In an interview with La Vanguardia earlier this year, Perello revealed that she does not public social media accounts
“No, no… I don’t have any public account. Probably. I have not looked at it,” she said.
She went on to explain why she is rarely seen in pictures with Nadal, who is fairly active on social media.
“I am not in them because those images are snapshots of a moment,” she added.

“They are not planned… in the case of tennis it was a spur of the moment idea and they put it up because it was fun. But that’s it.
“Besides, I’ve always been very clear that I’m not the famous one.
“If I am it will backfire. The one who has done something to deserve it is Rafa, not me.”
Nadal, though, welcomed the year 2020 by posting a rare Instagram photo of him and his wife from their wedding day.
He wrote: “Now to say goodbye to all of you I leave this last great memory of 2019 and take the opportunity to wish you all the best for 2020!”
At the Australian Open earlier this year, Nadal explained why there are just a handful of pictures from their special day.
“Honestly, we didn’t want to create a show off with pictures everywhere with the press,” he said.
“We just tried to do a private event with the people that we want at it.

“Everything was fantastic, was great that people respect it.
“We have been a very normal couple since the beginning trying to avoid things in terms of being very proactive together on the press or this stuff.
“Just trying to maintain our private lives, away from all these media attention and our wedding was following the same.”
