Paulo Costa wife: Is the UFC 253 star married?

Paulo Costa and Israel Adesanya are headlining this weekend’s massive MMA event – the UFC 253. The pair will fight each other in a bid to win the UFC Middleweight Champion title – currently held by Adesanya. The fight is expected to be intense, with both men having defeated Yoel Romero in their previous fights.

Ahead of this weekend’s UFC 253 fight, Costa sent a chilling message to his opponent.

Costa said: “I have just one question, Adesanya, why you freezing when you face Romero?

“You’re not a real champion, man. You don’t deserve. I will kill you.”

Adesanya replied: “He’s dumb. He’s dumb and he walks forward and he throws shots.

“That’s what makes it really exciting, and that’s what I’m looking forward to.

“I’m looking forward to this big, inflated ignoramus, running up on me, trying to throw shots as I keep moving and sticking him.

“The only people he ever beat that are worthy of anything as two guys that are ranked, that was Uriah Hall and Romero. Who else has he beat that’s ranked?

“Who else has he beat? I can list you four guys that I have, so you have to understand there’s levels to this.”

Is Paulo Costa married?

In a tweet to Adesanya in August, Costa appeared to confirm he has a girlfriend.

The Brazilian MMA fighter tweeted: “I have girlfriend already skinny pink.”

The message was retweeted almost 400 times and liked 4,600 times.

The son of odd-jobber Carlos Roberto and Maria Augusta, he was born in 1991.

Costa has an older brother, Carlos Costa, who is a former mixed martial artist and one of Paulo’s coaches.

He made his professional MMA debut in his native country of Brazil in February 2012.

The Brazilian made his promotional debut on March 11, 2017, at UFC Fight Night 106 against Garreth McLellan.

He won the fight via TKO in the first round, earning his first Performance of the Night award.

Costa faced Yoel Romero on August 17, 2019, at UFC 241, winning the fight via unanimous decision earning him the Fight of the Night award.
