UFC ring girl Brittney Palmer has stepped away from the fight game by literally laying down her shorts.
The brunette bombshell has been an ever-present fixture on the UFC roster since making her debut. Palmer, 36, picked up her fifth Ringcard Girl of the Year award at Thursday’s 2023 World MMA Awards.
But the American model veteran revealed during her acceptance speech that UFC 296 this weekend would mark her final appearance as an octagon girl. And she capped off her 16-year stint with the promotion in style.

She was recalled to the stage after her bombshell news and was handed a pair of her own skimpy red shorts by MMA legend Chael Sonnen, who noted that fighters mark their retirement by laying down gloves inside the cage. Veteran Palmer gracefully obliged, blowing kisses and smiling before being clapped off.
Palmer had said: “Thank you everyone. I truly am honoured to accept this award. Thank you to the UFC. Fighter’s Only, and all the fans who voted for me.

“Well, there’s no better time to say it. But after 16 years with UFC, I’ve decided to retire. This weekend will be my last event, and I’m so, absolutely grateful for this unforgettable experience.
“I’ve travelled the world and met some incredible people, and I’ve met some lifelong friends. I will forever appreciate the memories and I’m so excited for the future.
“Thank you to the UFC, Dana White and to all the fans for this incredible honour. I’m truly blessed to be a part of this journey. I love you guys.”
Palmer walks away from MMA with a gargantuan net worth of around £4m ($5m). Along with Arianny Celeste, another multi-award winner at the World MMA Awards, Palmer transcended combat sports by modelling for various magazines.
She graced the cover of Playboy in 2012 and has recently used her jaw-dropping looks to sell adult content via a subscription service. But she is not just a pretty face, being an avid artist whose work includes murals and paintings.
