Matheus Nunes will not be in Wolves’ squad for their second round Carabao Cup tie against Blackpool on Tuesday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 25-year-old has been subject to interest from Manchester City, who saw a\u00a0 \u00a347million offer rejected last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As a result, Nunes has\u00a0refused to train with Wolves and informed the club he wishes to join the Premier League champions.<\/p>\n
However, Wolves are adamant they will not let him go unless their valuation, believed to be in the region of \u00a360m, is met and are willing to wait until after the transfer window before integrating him back into the squad.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Gary O’Neil’s side were without the former Sporting Lisbon star for their weekend victory against Everton due to suspension and they will have to make do without his services for Tuesday’s League Cup tie at the very least.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nunes, signed for a club-record \u00a342m fee last summer,\u00a0will face disciplinary action for missing training on\u00a0Sunday and Monday with an expected fine.<\/p>\n
City, who have also looked at Eberechi Eze at Crystal Palace, want to add another midfielder this week after losing Kevin De Bruyne for up to five months through a hamstring injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Wolves\u00a0have an interest in City midfielders James McAtee and Tommy Doyle, who spent last season on loan at Sheffield United.\u00a0<\/p>\n
However, Pep Guardiola’s side are not willing to sell the 20-year-old as he is viewed as a player who can compete for a starting place in the long term.<\/p>\n
The treble winners will consider a loan if it is to a club they feel will further his development<\/p>\n
