And what about Man United &#8216;diving&#8217;?: Listen to It&#8217;s All Kicking Off, Mail Sport&#8217;s new podcast<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This week sees the staging of the second round of the Carabao Cup and the entrance of 12 Premier League sides not in European competition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There are the familiar faces of the likes of Everton, Wolves and Crystal Palace, who are well accustomed to starting their cup campaign at this stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While Tottenham &#8211; and perhaps to a greater extent &#8211;\u00a0Chelsea, are paying the price for a disappointing season last time round.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With the first midweek action of the year, teams are in England&#8217;s top-flight are likely to heavily rotate their rosters, handing starts to exciting prospects and squad players.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the round getting underway on Tuesday night, <span>Mail Sport<\/span> takes you through ten Premier League starlets you should keep your eye on over the next few days.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/29\/12\/74830415-12456487-image-a-20_1693309565574.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Bashir Humphreys (left) and\u00a0Mason Burstow (centre) will be hoping to follow fellow academy alum Levi Colwill (right) into the Chelsea first team<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p><span><span>Mason Burstow &#8211; Chelsea\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll start with the biggest side in the competition at this stage, the five-time winners who are likely to make wholesale changes to the team that beat Luton 3-0 on Friday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mauricio Pochettino&#8217;s team could come close to filling a list all on their own, but we&#8217;ll stick to two players, the first of which is 20-year-old forward Mason Burstow.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The youngster joined from League One side Charlton, where he scored two league goals in 16 games during the 2021-22 season. However, it was his starring role in the Blues&#8217; development outfit last term that got many excited at Cobham.<\/p>\n<p>Burstow took the form that saw him record 14 goal contributions in 25 games into pre-season, where he netted the equaliser against Borussia Dortmund in\u00a0Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>The 6ft 2ins striker has already featured in two of Chelsea&#8217;s three Premier League games this term.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/29\/17\/74840387-12456487-image-a-5_1693325351508.jpg\" height=\"424\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Mason Burstow joined from League One side Charlton, where he scored twice in 16 games<\/p>\n<p><span>Bashir Humphreys &#8211;\u00a0 Chelsea<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Chelsea will likely dominate possession against League One Wimbledon on Wednesday night with ball-playing defender\u00a0Bashir Humphreys likely to be involved in a lot of the play.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at German second tier side\u00a0Paderborn, making 12 appearances as the side finished sixth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Before injury halted his progress up the Chelsea youth ranks,\u00a0Humphreys was a permanent fixture and recovered well to impress former manager Graham Potter enough to be drafted into multiple training sessions with the senior team.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The defender\u00a0made his senior debut in an FA Cup tie at Manchester City in January 2023.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/29\/11\/74828753-12456487-image-a-9_1693306307148.jpg\" height=\"394\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Bashir Humphreys made his senior debut in an FA Cup tie at Manchester City in January 2023<\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0Andrey Santos &#8211; Nottingham Forest\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Technically, Santos is the third Chelsea player on this list, but his loan move to Nottingham Forest means he&#8217;ll be turning out for Steve Cooper&#8217;s side this term.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea signed Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama in January but he has had to wait in the wings back in Brazil while he sorted out a work permit.<\/p>\n<p>The 19-year-old is a versatile midfielder with a great engine and he will likely get a chance to showcase his talents in the east Midlands this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Santos made 49 appearances for Vasco da Gama, and his performances were enough to see him receive his first senior cap for Brazil back in March.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/29\/17\/74840389-12456487-image-a-4_1693325348129.jpg\" height=\"446\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Nottingham Forest fans can look forward to seeing the 19-year-old Andrey Santos in red this season<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<span>Jesurun Rak-Sakyi &#8211; Crystal Palace<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Another youngster with connections to the Blues,\u00a0Rak-Sakyi made the switch from west London to south when he joined Palace in 2019, and quickly established himself in the youth set-up at the club.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The forward models his game after Eagles star\u00a0Eberechi Eze and got his first minutes of the season for the senior squad against Arsenal this month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Noted by his manager for his composure,\u00a0Rak-Sakyi scored 15 goals and registered ten assists on-loan at Charlton last season and scooped the club&#8217;s\u00a0Player of the Year and Players&#8217; Tottenham\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Tottenham completed a reported \u00a32million signing of the highly-rated 18-year-old from Blackburn earlier this month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The defender penned a five-year contract after\u00a0a breakout campaign for Rovers last term in the Championship, featuring eight times with a further six appearances across all competitions.<\/p>\n<p>Phillips\u00a0has also made several appearances for England across various junior levels over the past two years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/29\/12\/74829481-12456487-image-a-13_1693307755781.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Spurs completed a reported \u00a32million signing of Ashley Phillips from Blackburn this month<\/p>\n<p><span>Alejo Veliz &#8211; Fulham<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Welsh midfielder Luke Harris is yet to feature in the Premier League this term but looks to have a great future in the division ahead of him.<\/p>\n<p>Harris has scored 25 goals and provided five assists in 35 appearances for the U21s.<\/p>\n<p>He has already been called up to Wales&#8217; senior squad and made his top-flight debut last October &#8211; making a further two appearances since.<\/p>\n<p>The 18-year-old secured a new contract until 2026 earlier this year and could yet\u00a0could enjoy a break through season if given the chance by Marco Silva &#8211; making a further two appearances since<\/p>\n<p><span>Owen Farmer &#8211; Wolves<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Wolves winger\u00a0Owen Farmer has been on the radar of fans at Molineux for at least a couple of years and turned out for the side during pre-season under then-manager Julen\u00a0Lopetegui.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 18-year-old bounced between midfield and attacking roles before getting settled in the frontline, though he is adept at playing in a number of positions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A technically gifted player, Farmer had 11 goal contributions in 18 Premier League 2 games last season and is in prime position to make his mark on the senior team against Blackpool on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/29\/12\/74829689-12456487-image-a-15_1693308498363.jpg\" height=\"429\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The technically gifted Owen Farmer had 11 goal contributions in 18 Premier League 2 games\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span>Youssef Chermiti &#8211; Everton<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Everton are putting a lot of pressure on the shoulders of 19-year-old striker\u00a0Youssef Chermiti, who joined for \u00a315m from Sporting Lisbon this month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The youngster put pen to paper on a four-year deal that had Toffees boss Sean Dyche hailing his &#8216;raw talent and\u00a0ingredients to be a very good player&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chermiti scored three goals in the Portuguese top-flight last term and got his first run out for his new club during the weekend defeat to Wolves.\u00a0It is hoped Chermiti will inject attacking potency into Everton&#8217;s attack.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The travelling Everton support are likely to get their glimpse of that on Wednesday night against Doncaster.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/29\/12\/74830311-12456487-image-a-19_1693309402679.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>19-year-old\u00a0Youssef Chermiti joined for \u00a315m and penned a four-year deal with the Toffees\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span>Yegor Yarmolyuk &#8211; Brentford<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ukrainian youngster\u00a0Yegor Yarmolyuk is still looking for his first senior start for the Bees since joining in 2022.
