And what about Man United &#8216;diving&#8217;?: Listen to It&#8217;s All Kicking Off,\u00a0Mail Sport&#8217;s new podcast<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Raheem Sterling is available for England selection after missing the two previous squads amid fitness concerns.<\/p>\n<p>The Chelsea attacker, who has not played for England since the World Cup, has started the new season in sparking form amid a clamour for him to return to international action.<\/p>\n<p>Sterling missed the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Ukraine and Italy in March due to a hamstring problem. He also sat out of the June fixtures versus North Macedonia and Malta after agreeing with head coach Gareth Southgate that he should have a full summer off in order to focus on recovering ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n<p>The omissions led to doubts over Sterling&#8217;s long-term international future, but the former Manchester City forward is ready to be picked for England once again.<\/p>\n<p>It remains to be seen whether Southgate decides to hand Sterling an England recall when he announces his squad for the forthcoming games against Ukraine and Scotland today.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/30\/21\/74890721-0-image-a-8_1693425984353.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Raheem Sterling is available for England selection after doubt over his international future<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/08\/30\/21\/74890727-0-image-m-10_1693426036925.jpg\" height=\"464\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Sterling missed the last two squads and hasn&#8217;t played for his country since the World Cup<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>Eyes will also be on whether Jordan Henderson is selected by the England boss following his controversial move to Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>The midfielder left Liverpool to join Al-Ittihad, managed by Steven Gerrard, earlier this summer to throw his international career into uncertainty.<\/p>\n<p>Henderson and Southgate have spoken and the England boss is understood to have kept the door open to the 33-year-old to continue to be selected.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, Henderson is hopeful of keeping his place in the squad.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, it is clear that Henderson playing in an inferior divisions is far from ideal with the European Championships less than 12 months away.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, despite warning Harry Maguire that his place is under threat due to his lack of action at Manchester United, the stalwart defender is expected to keep his place.<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea defender Levi Colwill and Brighton centre-back Lewis Dunk are also hopeful of call-ups.
