Manchester United are operating like a \u2018midtable club\u2019 in the transfer market because the Glazers treat the club like a \u2018toy\u2019.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s according to Gary Neville, who says the Americans have used a need to comply with Financial Fair Play as an excuse for their lack of investment.<\/p>\n
United spent \u00a3172m in the summer transfer window and they raised around \u00a355m in player sales.<\/p>\n
The Red Devils signed Sergio Reguilon and Sofyan Amrabat on deadline day on loan deals, as they could not afford permanent transfers.<\/p>\n
It comes as the Glazers are reportedly set to take United off the market, nine months after they put the club up for sale. <\/p>\n
Neville believes the Americans are bluffing and simply want more money for the club but he says their ownership of the club has led to United acting like a \u2018midtable club\u2019. <\/p>\n

\u2018Of course they\u2019re going to sell. They\u2019re desperate for money.<\/p>\n
\u2018They can\u2019t even compete on FFP anymore. Man Utd are talking like a midtable club when it comes to the transfer market. Man Utd turn over \u00a3500m, one of the highest revenue generating clubs in the world.<\/p>\n
\u2018Chelsea, Arsenal can sign big players, Man Utd are scrambling around on FFP. I know they\u2019ve had losses on Covid and that could be thrown as an excuse<\/p>\n
\u2018Today was a fantastic game but it won\u2019t change the fact that they\u2019ve got owners of one of the biggest clubs in the world who are messing around with the football club and I\u2019m not going to stop talking about it because it\u2019s a massive problem.\u2019<\/p>\n
