The winger has endured a dismal time in north London since his then-club record \u00a372m move in 2019 and spent last season on loan with Nice. He will sign a short-term deal until next summer after undergoing his medical this morning. If they qualify for the tournament, he will then hold further talks about a more long-term commitment. The Reds rejected a \u00a3150m offer for their talisman, with the Saudi side also willing to pay the 31-year-old an annual salary of \u00a3100m after tax for three years. The midfielder was the subject of interest from Wolves over the summer, but the Cottagers rejected a \u00a33m bid.
