who have been in charge since 2005 &#8211; alongside Qatari\u00a0Sheikh Jassim, with both men submitting offers in the region of \u00a35billion.<\/p>\n<p>But the takeover has hit a hitch in recent weeks after Mail Sport reported that the Glazers were going to take the club off the market, resulting in\u00a0United&#8217;s stock plunging by 21 per cent at one stage as the New York Stock Exchange reacted to the report.<\/p>\n<p>However, news later emerged that the two bidders had not been informed that the sale was off, with those close to the process claiming nothing had changed.<\/p>\n<p>Both bids are some way short of the Glazers&#8217; as the Red Devils continue their battle to bring the club back to its former glory.<\/p>\n<p>Talking to INEOS&#8217; YouTube channel, Ratcliffe said he could not imagine failing with a club like United, saying doing so would be &#8216;painful and excruciating&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The\u00a0Manchester United bid would have been unthinkable two or three years ago if we hadn\u2019t had some of the experiences \u2013 quite a few of them some quite difficult experiences with Lausanne and Nice,&#8217;
