As for Jenni, we felt the best way to protect her in this squad was in this way.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Tome also hinted at a breakthrough with her furious players when reflecting on the surprising selection of 15 of the World Cup-winning stars despite their insistence last week that they would refuse a call-up.<\/p>\n<p>She added: &#8216;We have experienced a special situation and we have experienced something exceptional.\u00a0 The federation has worked to talk to them and work with them and we are very excited about the path now in the Nations League.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>She continued: &#8216;I have been working with them (the players) for five years, although in another role, and I have always felt their trust.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I feel good. I have always been in the shadows but I have confidence in my work and I want to do things well and work. I enjoy what I do, we have the best soccer players in the world and we cannot be forgotten.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We are in a change in the structure of the federation and I have the utmost confidence that we can do things well and that our players are in a climate of trust and security.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>However, most of the players who last month won the Women&#8217;s World Cup have said that their firm opposition to be called for the national team remains in place despite being called-up.<\/p>\n<p>Their latest stance comes after they released the following statement last week.
