Arsenal are reportedly plotting a move for one of the Bundesliga’s brightest rising stars, with Spanish outlets claiming one of the latest wonderkids out of Germany has appeared on the Gunners’ target list.

The German top-flight has seen some of the brightest young talents nurtured into top-class performers, with an emphasis towards giving youth players plenty of minutes and exposure.

Kai Havertz and Florian Wirtz have both come through the ranks at Bayer Leverkusen, while Bayern Munich have introduced Jamal Musiala to the world.

But perhaps the club most intrinsically linked with the production of young stars is Borussia Dortmund, who have seen the likes of Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, Jadon Sancho and Gio Reyna rise to prominence in recent years.

Now, though, Mikel Arteta’s side are believed to have their interest piqued by another English Dortmund starlet, who has already been dubbed ‘the next Bellingham’ – high praise indeed for a player aged just 19.

Jude Bellingham’s rapid rise through the ranks have seen him compared to another English starlet at Borrusia Dortmund

The wonderkid has already played 25 senior games for the German outfit despite their age

Mikel Arteta’s side are thought to view the player as somebody that has great potential to grow

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens may be young, but he already has 25 games under his belt, scoring nine times and an assist.

It’s perhaps a sign of the times that 19 doesn’t seem that young for a footballer to have their rise to prominence, but it is still an impressive feat at a club that is playing Champions League football in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

It is that rapid rise to a feature of the first-team that has drawn comparisons to the mercurial Bellingham, who signed for the German outlet in 2020 and fast became their talisman.

Now Fichajes are reporting that Arteta is keen to bring the player to the club, with a fee of around £26million thought to be close to what the German side are after.

It is not quite the hefty fee that the likes of Bellingham (£113m), Sancho (£73m) and Haaland (£51m) have all commanded in recent years, but it is a clear indication as to the quality that the youngster possesses.

He also has international experience, having been called up to the England U21 squad earlier in September, where he provided an assist for Chelsea’s Cole Palmer in a 3-0 win over Luxembourg.

The Spanish publication further outline that the Spanish boss is of the opinion Bynoe-Gittens has ‘great potential’ and could be part of the ongoing growth at the Emirates.

A left winger by trade, Bynoe-Gittens would be in direct competition with the energetic Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, should he make the move.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has already scored three goals for the Bundesliga giants from left wing

The impressive youngster was recently called up to the England U21 side that beat Luxembourg 3-0 last week
