Moet &amp; Chandon was also available for the champagne drinkers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/28\/22\/75952109-12573029-image-a-5_1695936881882.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The highly-anticipated 44th Ryder Cup tees off on Friday at the Marco Simeone Golf Club<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/28\/22\/75955515-12573029-Brooks_Koepka_s_wide_Jena_Sims_was_among_the_WAGs_in_attendance_-m-10_1695937939675.jpg\" height=\"525\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Brooks Koepka&#8217;s wide Jena Sims was among the WAGs in attendance at the gala dinner<\/p>\n<p>For dinner, guests were treated to a calamari and rockfish starter with olives, capers and a red gurnard ragout, before a main of beef fillet with Barolo reduction and snow peas. Vegetarian options were available.<\/p>\n<p>Desserts were from the Federico Prodon Patisserie.<\/p>\n<p>An exclusive show from Georgia singer-songwriter Phillip Phillips capped off the night before coaches transported those involved back to their hotels.<\/p>\n<h2>More organisational issues&#8230;\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>For the first time on Thursday, serious crowd numbers descended on the Marco Simone Golf &amp; Country Club, arriving on buses \u2014 only to then endure a walk of around a mile to enter the venue.<\/p>\n<p>Officials have designed a somewhat convoluted route, and a number of angry punters confronted staff in yellow bibs to ask the entirely rational question of why they could not just walk in a straight line to the entrance.<\/p>\n<p>With temperatures of 30\u00b0C expected throughout the weekend and a large number of elderly spectators, it is to be hoped common sense prevails.<\/p>\n<h2>Europe&#8217;s captain crisis\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>The choice of Europe captain at the next Ryder Cup is already causing head-scratching.
