Frank Bruno has taken to X to confirm he is still alive, amid seeing the hashtag #RIPFrank was trending on social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The former World Heavyweight champion reacted after seeing the trend on X, and confirmed it wasn’t him who had passed away.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In fact, the term started to trend following the sad passing of former Scottish footballer Frank\u00a0McDougall, who died on Sunday night.<\/p>\n
A flurry of tributes were made to the ex-St Mirren and Aberdeen striker online and led to Bruno seeing his name as one of the top trends.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But the 61-year-old made sure to let his fans know the posts didn’t relate to him, after ‘checking’ it wasn’t him who had died.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bruno felt the need to clarify after seeing the term #RIPFrank appearing on the platform\u00a0<\/p>\n

The term #RIPFrank was in relation to the death of former Scottish striker Frank McDougall\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘Morning I keep seeing RIP Frank is trending and I have to check I have not died.’ Bruno comically posted.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bruno then used the remainder of his tweet to reflect on the week ahead and comment on the controversial game between Tottenham and Liverpool at the weekend that saw a goal wrongly disallowed for offside.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Adding: ‘So a new week and a busy one. I have been asked to comment about the Liverpool VAR situation if it becomes apparent that it could be a title decider or a champions league placing maybe a rematch?\u00a0<\/p>\n

The boxer, who famously battled win Mike Tyson in his late 1980s heyday and won the WBC World Heavyweight championship from Oliver McCall in 1995, has suffered from mental health issues since retiring from the sport.\u00a0<\/p>\n
However, after twice being sectioned with the issues, he has since fought back and launched a foundation\u00a0dedicated to improving the mental health of men around the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n
