What a performance man.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The Newcastle legend shared a picture of himself having a pint with former Newcastle midfielder Rob Lee ahead of the game and\u00a0was then in the stands at St James&#8217; Park.<\/p>\n<p>TNT Sport cameras showed him taking in the celebrations at full-time, as the crowd erupted.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on commentary, Jermaine Jenas noted that his former Newcastle teammate looked emotional as the final whistle went.<\/p>\n<p>Up until tonight, Newcastle had last tasted victory in the Champions League on 26 26 February 2003, when they beat Bayern Leverkusen 3-1 at St James&#8217; Park with Shearer scoring a hat-trick.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shearer may not be alone in feeling the effects of the celebrations, with Sean Longstaff admitting some of his family members were likely to be worse for wear come Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/05\/00\/76183481-12595573-Shearer_shared_a_picture_of_him_drinking_with_former_Newcastle_t-a-5_1696462100388.jpg\" height=\"674\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Shearer shared a picture of him drinking with former Newcastle teammate Rob Lee earlier in the day ahead of the blockbuster Champions League clash\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/05\/01\/76183985-12595573-image-m-7_1696464871333.jpg\" height=\"392\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Local lad Dan Burn (right) scored the second goal as Newcastle thrashed the Ligue 1 giants<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/05\/00\/76177117-12595573-image-a-7_1696462236586.jpg\" height=\"431\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Fellow Geordie Sean Longstaff hammered home the Magpies&#8217; third just after half-time<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;They\u2019ll probably be a bit proud a bit drunk as well,&#8217; he told TNT Sport after the game.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It&#8217;s some night I think we knew as a group that it was going to be some atmosphere.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;But I think with me and Burn scoring on a night like tonight is pretty surreal.
