Howe was asked on Friday if nights like PSG suggest that day is closer than anyone thought.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I would urge caution and calmness because we have not proven anything,\u2019 he said. \u2018The season is so early and a couple of weeks ago the feeling was very different, and the questions coming to me were very different (on the back of three defeats). We\u2019ve got a lot to prove before we can say anything about what we\u2019ve done.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Is there any reason why the club cannot fulfil the chairman\u2019s ambition?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/06\/12\/76245557-12601923-image-a-31_1696591387678.jpg\" height=\"439\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Eddie Howe has urged caution but believes the Newcastle can achieve their owners ambitions<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/06\/12\/76245601-12601923-image-a-32_1696591497303.jpg\" height=\"349\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Newcastle chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan has aimed for the club to be the best in the world<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/06\/12\/76245683-12601923-image-a-33_1696591677467.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The Magpies enjoyed the high of thrashing reigning French champions PSG 4-1 in midweek<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018No, but we\u2019re not the world\u2019s number one club at the moment,\u2019 said Howe. \u2018We\u2019ve got to try and work towards that and these things take time &#8211; there is no magic wand. Being smart, making good decisions and working hard every day. If that is the ultimate aim, then we will try our best to get that.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Newcastle have spent around \u00a3350million on new players since the takeover, yet three of the scorers against PSG &#8211; Miguel Almiron, Sean Longstaff and Fabian Schar &#8211; were already at the club. The other was Dan Burn, a \u00a312m buy from Brighton.<\/p>\n<p>Howe added: \u2018I\u2019ve always said money is part of our success, but I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s the whole story. We very quickly formed a strong bond with the players we inherited. Whether you recruit a player or inherit a player, we try and treat them all the same and develop their careers and coach them to try and be the best that they can possibly be.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Next month will also mark Howe\u2019s two-year anniversary on Tyneside, and he said: \u2018I knew when I was offered the job and I was going to say yes that it was a life-changing moment for me. Thankfully, it has been a great journey so far. I have loved every second of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I said when I arrived, I was very proud to be Newcastle manager and I\u2019ve never woken up without that feeling.
