{"id":294377,"date":"2023-10-11T17:57:19","date_gmt":"2023-10-11T17:57:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/allmysportsnews.com\/?p=294377"},"modified":"2023-10-11T17:57:19","modified_gmt":"2023-10-11T17:57:19","slug":"fans-praise-amazing-kalvin-phillips-for-playing-game-with-young-fan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allmysportsnews.com\/soccer\/fans-praise-amazing-kalvin-phillips-for-playing-game-with-young-fan\/","title":{"rendered":"Fans praise &apos;amazing&apos; Kalvin Phillips for playing game with young fan"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Fans heap praise on &#8216;amazing human being&#8217; Kalvin Phillips after he plays heart warming game of rock-paper-scissors with a young supporter &#8211; as they insist the out-of-favour Man City star is &#8216;such a down to earth guy&#8217;<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The young boy cheekily asks Phillips if he can play the game for his training top\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8216;Kalvin Phillips MUST move on as he is overlooked yet again by Pep Guardiola&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Listen to the latest episode of Mail Sport&#8217;s podcast &#8216;It&#8217;s All Kicking Off!&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>England international Kalvin Phillips made this young fan&#8217;s week with a heart warming gesture after a game of rock paper scissors.<\/p>\n<p>The Manchester City midfielder was filmed on Instagram\u00a0signing autographs and posing for pictures at St George&#8217;s Park as the England team gathered for training.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While moving along the line of fans, a young supporter tries his luck and asks Kalvin if he has anything on under his training quarter-zip.<\/p>\n<p>When Phillips laughs and says yes, the young boy then says I&#8217;ll play you at rock paper scissors for it, to which the\u00a027-year-old agrees.<\/p>\n<p>With smiles on each of their faces, the pair continue with the game that Phillips ultimately won.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/11\/16\/76435065-12619641-image-a-37_1697039339605.jpg\" height=\"1127\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The young fan asks the England international if he wants to play a game of rock paper scissors<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/11\/16\/76435401-12619641-image-a-1_1697039891090.jpg\" height=\"1127\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>After laughing, Phillips agrees and the pair play the game with smiles on each of their faces<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>However, the England ace still agrees to give the young fan his training top, which makes the person filming say: &#8216;Ah that&#8217;s too cute.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>People across social media praised the Manchester City player for taking the time to make the young fan&#8217;s day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One person wrote: &#8216;[That&#8217;s] what football&#8217;s all about,&#8217; while another said: &#8216;Little acts like that when you\u2019re younger you remember for the rest of your life.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>A third added: &#8216;Quality, such a down to earth guy, shame injuries have ruined him. I still back him to do well.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>A fourth also commented: &#8216;This is brilliant and such a joy to watch,&#8217; while a fifth said: &#8216;Such an amazing human being @kalvinphillips.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Two weeks ago, Pep Guardiola\u00a0admitted that Kalvin Phillips still &#8216;struggles&#8217; in Manchester City&#8217;s system but insists the midfielder &#8216;always wants to learn&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/11\/16\/76435399-12619641-image-a-2_1697039897242.jpg\" height=\"1127\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Despite losing, the young boy was still given the training top by the England midfielder<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/11\/16\/76435061-12619641-image-a-39_1697039349206.jpg\" height=\"1127\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The person filming then describes the moment by saying: &#8216;Ahh that&#8217;s too cute man&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Phillips, 27, has made just 23 appearances for the Treble winners since completing a \u00a345million move from Leeds United back in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on Phillips&#8217; time with Leeds, Guardiola said: &#8216;Marcelo (Bielsa) gave Kalvin the best of Kalvin in his career,&#8217; said Guardiola.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I&#8217;d love to have done with Kalvin what Marcelo has done to him.
