Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s “Welcome to Wrexham” documentary has been accused of using an AI-generated image. Eagle-eyed viewers claim the hit show, which is in its second season following the two actors turned-soccer-club-owners, used a confusing image of twelve men, believed to be Welsh labourers.

One of the main giveaways was a floating beer mug, with one of the men appearing to hold three jugs of drink. One of the drinks can be seen floating in the middle of his chest.

Another user on Reddit explained the best way to determine whether an image is AI-generated: Hands. “Then there’s the guy on the left with some wonky eyes and a peculiar unrealistic left hand, — hands are the best way to spot an AI-generated picture,” the Reddit user said. “And there is a man on the far right who looks like he’s straight out of a different era.”

The use of silver tankards also raised suspicion, as they were not typically owned or used by working-class individuals. It’s unclear what year back in time the picture is trying to recreate but Wrexham as a soccer club is one of the oldest in the world. It has a rich history dating back to 1864.
