vandalism mocking Ibrox Disaster &#8211; with Hibs vowing to &#8216;take the most serious action possible&#8217; against culprits<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Rangers released photos of offensive graffiti left by visiting Hibernian fans<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Both clubs swiftly came out to condemn the references to the Ibrox Disaster\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Listen to the latest episode of Mail Sport&#8217;s podcast &#8216;It&#8217;s All Coming Up!&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rangers and Hibs united in condemnation of the away supporters who vandalised seats and mocked the Ibrox Disaster during Saturday&#8217;s Premiership encounter between the clubs.<\/p>\n<p>Graffiti and stickers left in the Hibs section of the ground depicted Stairway 13 and the number 66, both references to the tragedy that claimed the lives of 66 Rangers fans on January 2, 1971.<\/p>\n<p>Crude references to the death of the Queen and the IRA were also left behind after the 4-0 home win.<\/p>\n<p>Rangers released photographs of the vandalised area of the ground occupied by just under 1,000 Hibs fans alongside a statement which read: &#8216;Rangers condemns in the strongest possible terms the graffiti and stickers left by a section of the Hibernian supporters at Ibrox this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The Ibrox Disaster remains the darkest day in our club&#8217;s history, and continues to affect a number families to this day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/22\/08\/76854673-0-image-a-1_1697958331103.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Offensive graffiti mocking the Ibrox disaster was made in the away end by Hibernian fans<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/22\/08\/76854671-0-image-a-2_1697958369686.jpg\" height=\"457\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Some of the crude graffiti made on seats depicted Stairway 13 and the number 66, both references to the tragedy that claimed the lives of 66 Rangers fans on January 2, 1971<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The mocking and celebration of such an event is outrageous, and has no place in any football stadium or society as a whole.\u00a0Rangers will be pleased to work with Hibernian to identify those responsible.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>A statement from Hibs followed shortly afterwards, declaring: &#8216;Hibernian FC is aware of the intolerable graffiti and stickers found in the away end at Ibrox today and condemns the behaviour of the individuals that were involved.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The club will work with Rangers to identify those responsible and will take the most serious action possible against anyone involved.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;If any Hibernian FC supporter has any information that could assist the club to help identify these individuals, they should contact club@hibernianfc.co.uk and the information provided will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/22\/08\/76854705-0-image-a-3_1697958400332.jpg\" height=\"482\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Both Rangers and Hibernian came together to strongly condemn the &#8216;outrageous&#8217;
