Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham continued their incredible starts to life in Germany and Spain respectively with man-of-the-match displays on Saturday in the latest proof that English players can succeed overseas. For years now, England’s best players have predominantly spent most of their careers on home soil with the likes of Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes and John Terry among those to forego moves abroad.<\/p>\n

But that trend has changed in recent seasons with a pool of talented England players plying their trade overseas more regularly now. With pathways to the first team harder to come by than ever in Premier League’s elite teams, some of England’s brightest young stars have made the move abroad.<\/p>\n

However, there’s also proven to be a route for the more proven stars to continue their dominance abroad. That’s none more so evident than the cases of Kane and Bellingham, who have gone from strength to strength since moves to Bayern Munich and Real Madrid respectively.<\/p>\n

Some other stars in English football may be best suited to a change of scenery too and follow in the footsteps of their compatriots. Express Sport<\/em> takes a look at six players from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs who could look to make the leap abroad.<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This seems like a make-or-break season for Marcus Rashford at Manchester United with fans split on where they stand with him at the moment. Undeniably one of England’s best talents, Rashford’s career has stagnated at United with the club struggling to get back to their former glory.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old would likely need some convincing to leave Old Trafford having been at the club since the age of seven. But a move abroad may be exactly what Rashford needs to rediscover his best form.<\/p>\n

Jadon Sancho<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It hasn’t worked out for Sancho at United and his falling out with Erik ten Hag looks set to force him out the door in the New Year. Premier League clubs will be lining up to sign the talented winger, but it was at Borussia Dortmund where he showcased his true abilities.<\/p>\n

A move abroad may be Sancho’s best bet to get out of the spotlight of the Premier League for a while to rediscover the kind of form he showed at Dortmund.<\/p>\n

Emile Smith Rowe<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Once heralded as the next big thing at Arsenal, Emile Smith Rowe’s career has taken a step backwards in recent years due to injuries and falling out of favour. Arteta insists he still wants to keep the 23-year-old at the club, but the right offer would surely tempt Arsenal into selling.<\/p>\n
