Lyon’s team bus was reportedly targeted with rocks thrown as the squad travelled to face Marseille in Ligue 1 on Sunday. Head coach Fabio Grosso could be seen holding his face, which was left bloodied after shards of glass cut it, when stepping off before the Italian was bandaged up after the distressing scenes in France.<\/p>\n
Ligue 1 have announced they have opened a crisis unit in Marseille after incidents around the stadium and they are set to make a decision over whether the game will go ahead.<\/p>\n
French outlet Le Parisian have claimed that stones were hurled at the bus which was carrying players and coaches to the Stade Velodrome ahead of the ‘Olympico’ clash.<\/p>\n
The rocks were said to have perforated the glass and the broken shards caused a facial injury to Grosso. Lyon assistant Raffaele Longo was also hit in the eye by shards of glass as the windows on the right side of the bus were smashed.<\/p>\n
