Jurgen Klopp reached into his bonkers box of excuses again last night despite the fact his Liverpool side won.<\/p>\n

A narrow 2-1 victory over Bournemouth secured passage to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, but if it wasn't for the weather on the south coast the Reds might've won by a bigger margin. That is, at least, according to their manager who whinged about strong winds at the Vitality Stadium after the game.<\/p>\n

"We should have scored more in the first half when the wind was with us," the German insisted. "We scored a wonderful goal in the second half, the boys fought really hard, but [the weather] was brutal.<\/p>\n

"One yard on the pitch it was outrageous but we got through. We can't go long because we know they'll come back at us so we have to try to play from the back, it's risky but we have to. Games like this are super tough for both teams and it's important that you win."<\/p>\n

Klopp is no stranger to moaning about the weather. He's blamed the wind for his Liverpool side's shortcomings on several occasions and has previously pointed the finger at rain, snow and cold temperatures in general.<\/p>\n
