Jurgen Klopp looked shell-shocked and winced when he heard that Manchester United had lost 3-0 to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup.<\/p>\n
The Liverpool boss was lost for words as he simply said ‘ooh… okay’ and cringed as somebody told him about United’s latest Old Trafford meltdown.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Man United were well beaten by Newcastle’s second string as goals from Miguel Almiron, Lewis Hall, and Joe Willock condemned them to their eighth defeat of the campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Their record of eight losses in 15 games means it is their worst start to a season since 1962\/63, when they finished 19th in the First Division but won the FA Cup.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Pressure is mounting on Erik ten Hag after a run of four defeats in seven games, all of them on their own turf.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He also criticised them for losing their discipline after they conceded twice in an eight-minute spell.<\/p>\n
‘You can’t say it hasn\u2019t been coming. Man United have lost their discipline in the last 10 minutes, they have looked anxious and the crowd have been quiet,’ he said.<\/p>\n
‘Garnacho gets muscled off it. Livramento goes around Mount like he is not there. Dalot is sleeping, Almiron is not. Can he finish, by goodness he can.’<\/p>\n
