just one month after\u00a0BBC axed his football show MOTDx<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Jermaine Jenas is reportedly being lined up for a surprise new hosting role\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The news comes shortly after BBC axed football show MOTDx on the sly\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Listen to the latest episode of Mail Sport&#8217;s podcast &#8216;It&#8217;s All Kicking Off!&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Jermaine Jenas is reportedly being lined up for a shock move to host a new show after the end of MOTDx.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, t<span>he <\/span>BBC<span>\u00a0axed one of their football shows, which<\/span><span>\u00a0was a BBC Three spin-off of the BBC&#8217;s flagship football programme Match of the Day, first airing in 2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Hosted by Jermaine Jenas, it took a relaxed view at football and was supposed to target younger audiences.<\/p>\n<p>However, <span>less than a month after <\/span>Dan Walker<span> became embroiled in a fierce row with <\/span>Alex Scott\u00a0over the BBC&#8217;s viewing figures, the show was axed.<\/p>\n<p>Now, according to reports, Jenas looks to have landed a new gig in a surprise field.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/02\/12\/77317603-12702107-image-a-1_1698927960331.jpg\" height=\"428\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jermaine Jenas is reportedly being lined up for a new role after MOTDx was axed by the BBC<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>According to talkSPORT, Jenas is being lined up as the new host for Formula E &#8211; which is the electric car version of Formula 1.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After their two-year tenure with Channel 4 came to an end recently, the sport is looking for a new home on UK televsion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The outlet also claim that ITV and TNT Sport are two of the front-runners to pick up the sport and, given his strong links to both broascasters, Jenas has been tipped for the role.<\/p>\n<p>The new season of Formula E starts in Mexico City in January 2024 and the coverage will be initially provided by production company Whisper.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a recent statement, their\u00a0Chief Media Officer, Aarti Dabas, said: &#8216;We are excited to work with Whisper who will bring to Formula E their impressive, proven credentials for creating compelling sports and entertainment broadcast content.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Formula E is the most competitive motorsport world championship with unrivalled racing action, big personalities in the paddock, and genuine storylines that will capture the imagination of new and current audiences.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/02\/12\/77317619-12702107-image-a-2_1698928040694.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jenas has been tipped to host Formula E &#8211; which could soon be broadcast on ITV or TNT Sport<\/p>\n<p>MOTDx&#8217;s axing came shortly after two of the BBC&#8217;s most iconic stars clashed over viewing figures for the broadcaster&#8217;s other show, Football Focus.<\/p>\n<p>Towards the end of September,\u00a0Football Focus presenter Alex Scott hit back at her predecessor Dan Walker, who said that it&#8217;s &#8216;hard&#8217;
