It is safe to say neither Aidan O\u2019Brien nor Jessica Harrington, agreed with the decisions.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/03\/21\/77382987-12708497-image-m-13_1699046852163.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Aidan O&#8217;Brien&#8217;s squad has been picture perfect but vets have deemed that two of his contenders couldn&#8217;t run<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/03\/21\/77381021-12708497-O_Brien_nor_Jessica_Harrington_not_pictured_were_left_frustrated-a-7_1699046453936.jpg\" height=\"429\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Brien &#8211; nor Jessica\u00a0Harrington\u00a0 (not pictured) &#8211; were left frustrated when told similar news about their horses<\/p>\n<p><span>Russell can&#8217;t stay away<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Davy Russell, in normal circumstances, would have just been getting ready for the National Hunt season to kick into gear but his retirement in the spring has opened up many new possibilities \u2014 one of which is travel.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One of the best jump jockeys of the last 25 years, with a Cheltenham Gold Cup and two Grand Nationals on his CV, Russell called time on his career in April.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He looked fit and well when he was trackside at Santa Anita on Thursday morning, savouring the Californian sun.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/03\/21\/77381101-12708497-image-m-5_1699046054398.jpg\" height=\"492\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Racing legend Davy Russell is now retired after a long career but has been trackside at Santa Anita ahead of the events<\/p>\n<p><span>Treats for the horses\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Who says horses don\u2019t get fussed over?\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At the entrance to the track where horses funnel out from their stables, bunches of carrots are left on the rails and chopped up to ensure there are little treats awaiting the equine stars after exercise.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Santa Anita drips with history and atmosphere and that is only added to by the fact you can go on what is called the \u2018Secretariat Tour\u2019.
