But you&#8217;ve got to give them an absolute bye when Havertz didn&#8217;t get sent off. That&#8217;s an absolute red card mate. It&#8217;s not even a query &#8211; it&#8217;s a red card. That wasn&#8217;t mentioned in the statement after or the meltdown.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It&#8217;s swings and roundabouts these games &#8211; you win some you lose some. You get some decisions, you don&#8217;t get some. Havertz hasn&#8217;t even been mentioned this weekend.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/07\/08\/77410015-12719619-Arteta_was_livid_after_the_game_calling_the_goal_a_disgrace_and_-a-14_1699347187981.jpg\" height=\"476\" width=\"306\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/07\/08\/77493913-12719619-image-a-13_1699347187969.jpg\" height=\"476\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>Arteta was livid after the game, calling the goal &#8216;a disgrace&#8217; and &#8216;an embarrassment&#8217; &#8211; but did not mention the incident involving Havertz (R)<\/p>\n<p>Ferdinand is one of many names in sport that have been critical of Arsenal&#8217;s furious reaction to the game &#8211; with Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher both agreeing their response went too far.<\/p>\n<p>After Arsenal released a statement hitting out at\u00a0&#8216;yet more unacceptable refereeing and VAR errors&#8217;, Neville said: &#8216;I can never remember [Man United] writing letters undermining the system and the whole refereeing community.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/07\/08\/77411385-12719619-Officials_had_to_assess_three_separate_incidents_before_the_deci-a-40_1699347338803.jpg\" height=\"479\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>Officials had to assess three separate incidents before the decision to award Gordon&#8217;s goal\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Arsenal&#8217;s letter and even the Liverpool statement a few weeks ago ( they had a genuine bad one v them ) are wrong. Do it privately. Managers and players make far more mistakes than refs!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Carragher added that the club&#8217;s words were &#8216;way over the top&#8217;, adding: &#8216;This is not a moment to jump on the bandwagon with VAR and just batter people at Stockley Park and the officials because that&#8217;s not right.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Sunday, Arsenal said: &#8221;Arsenal Football Club wholeheartedly supports Mikel Arteta&#8217;s post-match comments after yet more unacceptable refereeing and VAR errors on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We&#8217;d also like to acknowledge the huge effort and performance from our players and travelling supporters at St James&#8217; Park.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The Premier League is the best league in the world with the best players, coaches and supporters, all of whom deserve better.
